The RF200 is compatible with the VIOFO A229 Plus and A229 Pro front units (all configurations: 1CH, 2CH, and 3CH). It connects via the interior camera jack plug port. It is not compatible with the A329S series, which uses different interior camera modules.
Can I add the RF200 to an A229 Plus 2CH that already has a rear camera?
Yes. The A229 Plus and A229 Pro support up to 3 channels simultaneously. If you already have a 2CH system with front + rear, adding the RF200 upgrades it to a full 3CH system: front + rear + interior. The interior camera uses a separate jack plug port, so it does not conflict with the rear camera connection.
Does the RF200 record in complete darkness?
Yes. The RF200 has built-in infrared LEDs that illuminate the cabin invisibly. Combined with the Sony STARVIS IMX307 sensor's excellent low-light sensitivity, it captures clear 1080P interior footage even in total darkness — no ambient light needed. Faces and cabin details remain visible and identifiable.
