OBD-II Constant Power Cable

OP100 is designed to power dash cams and mobile devices through the vehicle’s OBD-II port. Compared to typical car power supply methods such as the cigarette lighter socket and hardwiring, this method excels in many aspects.

Easy Installation

Plug and play has never been easier. Simply plug the constant power cable into the vehicle's OBD-II port and connect it to your VIOFO dash cam. Your dash cam can receive constant power, even when your vehicle is off.

This cable offers a more discreet option for dash cam wiring than the cigarette lighter, ensuring a neat and tidy interior without messy cables visible on the surface.

Note: The location of the OBD-II port in a vehicle can vary slightly depending on the vehicle's make and model. See your vehicle owner's manuals for more information.

Dual Output Ports

OP100 comes with two output ports, one that is prioritized for powering the dashcam, the extra Type-C port is a huge bonus to power a mobile device.

Adjustable Power Switch

The ON/OFF switch enables easy control of the dash cam's power supply, saving energy and preventing vehicle battery damage.

Parking Recording Time Switch

The time switch, offering three options (3h/24h/∞), controls the OBD power supply duration after the dash cam enters parking mode. When the time expires, it will automatically cut off the power.

Note: ∞ indicates that it provides continuous power supply.

Support Parking Mode

(Require optional cable accessory with ACC detection)

For dash cams, the OBD cable offers a simpler and more convenient method for parking-mode recording over the conventional fuse box hardwiring. After the car is turned off, the cable can provide continuous power, enabling the dash cam to enter parking monitoring mode seamlessly. (Require customized cable with ACC detection function.)

Parking Mode Support

(Requires Optional Parking Mode Cable)

For dash cams, the OBD cable offers a simpler and more convenient method for parking-mode recording over the conventional fuse box hardwiring. After the car is turned off, the cable can provide continuous power, enabling the dash cam to enter parking monitoring mode seamlessly.

Note: You may purchase the bundle that includes an optional Type-C or Mini-USB Parking Mode Cable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the VIOFO OP100 OBD-II Cable?
The OP100 is a Plug & Play power solution that connects your dashcam directly to your vehicle's OBD-II port. It provides constant power to enable 24/7 Parking Mode without the need for complex fuse box wiring.
Which dashcam models are compatible?
The OP100 is compatible all VIOFO Dashcams. We have Type-C parking mode cable and Mini USB parking mode cable to power your dashcam.
How difficult is the installation?
It is extremely simple. Unlike traditional hardwire kits that require identifying fuses, you simply plug the OP100 into your car's OBD-II port (usually located under the driver-side dashboard). No tools or professional help are required.
Will this cable drain my car battery?
No. The OP100 features a built-in Voltage Cut-off switch . It constantly monitors your vehicle's battery level. If the voltage drops below the safety threshold (12V), the cable will automatically cut power to the dashcam to ensure your car has enough power to start.
Does the OP100 interfere with my car's onboard computer (ECU)?
No, the VIOFO OP100 is designed as a Power-Only device. Unlike OBD scanners that read vehicle data via the CAN Bus pins, the OP100 only draws power from the designated power and ground pins (Pin 16 and Pin 4/5). Because it does not communicate with your car's data network, it will not trigger dashboard error lights (DTCs), interfere with engine performance, or affect your vehicle's electronic systems. It is essentially a silent power source for your dashcam.
Is it safer than a traditional hardwire kit?
Both are safe, but the OP100 is non-invasive. Because you aren't touching the fuse box or tapping into existing wires, it is a cleaner solution that reduces the risk of incorrect wiring or electrical shorts.
How does the OP100 trigger Parking Mode?
The cable detects the vehicle's ignition status through the OBD port. Once you turn off the ignition and the voltage falls within the standby range (12V/24V < Vehicle's Voltage < 13.5V/27V), it signals the dashcam to switch from normal recording to your selected Parking Mode.
